Just as the two men went out, the Grand Elder couldn’t wait to pour a plate of kidneys all into his mouth.
He licked the blood from his lips and said with great satisfaction, “It should be a boy of four or five years old, it tastes good.”

A face under Terebei’s mask had turned cold to the extreme, his fingers tapped the tabletop impatiently and said in a cold voice, “The Grand Elder didn’t come here on purpose just to eat this, did he?”
The Grand Elder wiped the corner of his lips with a tissue and lifted his chin, “I’m here to discuss with you the future direction of the Black Party’s operations.”
He took out a stack of papers, “All these industries, you have to block them, I have no objection. But these few, like the casinos …… There’s no killing or arson and no heavy weapons trade, and they’re legal in many countries, so why must you block them?”
Terry North spoke indifferently, “Other countries and regions have mature legal systems to support them, while here no proper laws have been issued, which is why so much evil has been fostered. This casino may not seem any different from other countries on the surface, but in fact there is so much that can be done in it that it can easily spill over from gambling into other profiteering ……”
Impatient to hear this, the Grand Elder interrupted Terebei: “But do you know how much impact the rash closure of so many industries has had on the local economy? The money in our treasury has already been reduced by half in the last month, and at this rate, the army can’t even be fed ……”
“I’ve got the project for the town’s redevelopment in hand.” Terebei said in a light voice, “This project will inject new life and vitality into H-land, the economic aspect will not need to be a concern for the Grand Elder.”
He blocked back nonchalantly, infuriating the Grand Elder who almost spat out what he had just eaten.
He had been operating in this area for forty to fifty years and had long since formed his own network of influence. After August’s death, his influence had been affected, but fortunately he had realised the situation in time and bent his knee to submit, only then had he been able to keep the remaining family businesses.
Unexpectedly, after only a few days of peace and quiet, this yellow-skinned pig was thinking of reform.
All their family’s industries were profitable and dark, and once reformed, it would mean that he would no longer have a source of money in future.
It would be a fatal blow to a family.

The Grand Elder frowned, “Said what?”
“Didn’t I tell you to speak to him plainly about the marriage contract?” Isabel stamped her foot, “Now everyone knows you are going to marry me to him, but it is a great humiliation to me that he will not acknowledge me as his fiancée.”
“Belle, I am rea*signing you a task.” The Grand Elder lowered his voice, “If you get the chance, kill him.”
Isabel looked around warily, alarmed, “Father, you are mad, how can I possibly kill him, he killed August, he is so powerful, I was a little worried he would kill me.”
“If you don’t kill him, just wait until our family falls apart.”
The Grand Elder said with a huff.
He had previously planned to marry his daughter to Terebei just to consolidate the family’s power.
But now it seemed that even if his daughter became the chief’s wife, it would not change Terebei’s decision to reform.
So there was only one way to do it, and that was to make Terebei disappear.
“Belle, you are my favourite daughter, this task can only be left to you.” The Grand Elder said at length, “If you do, I will be the next chief, and then whatever men you want, Father will find them for you.”
Isabelle paused for a moment.
With a status like hers, any man she wanted was not a problem.
