The Second Elder’s entire body shook, “You, what are you saying, why can’t I understand?”
“Then why don’t I send a few people to your house to look for them?” Terebei’s voice was cold and chilly, “August was fooled by you for more than ten years because he couldn’t read these books. The Second Elder had no prior mental preparation and was completely unable to think of any words of rebuttal or explanation, his whole body was shaking like chaff.
The Third Elder on the other side calmly stepped forward, “Is there some kind of misunderstanding in between?”
The Fourth Elder followed suit, “The Second Elder’s family is so poor that they can’t even afford a mansion, how could they possibly embezzle such a huge amount of money?”
Terebei’s eyes swept over, “It seems you are all anxious for me to settle accounts one by one.”
Once again he tossed over a few copies of the information on his pillow.
“The Third Elder is slightly accomplished in diplomacy, but every foreign politician who comes to H-land returns home claiming to have suffered death threats in our territory, and some are forced to transfer hundreds of millions in ransom money …… Third Elder, this matter should be your tacit approval?”
“Fourth Elder, you are responsible for the construction of all the buildings destroyed in the H territory, but the civilian building on the southeast side has been constructed for three years, and it is still uninhabitable, with countless people living in the streets, how are you going to explain this matter to me ……”
A questioning words down, the third and fourth elders also instantly dripping with sweat.
“Third Elder and Fourth Elder you two, I will have someone go ahead and investigate thoroughly, as for Second Elder ……” Terebei sneered, “You should leave the financial side of things alone, lest the Black Party be hollowed out one day.”
The second elder was full of incredulity, “I have been in this position for over twenty years, what would I do if I didn’t do this?”

Hearing these words, the Second Elder’s entire body froze.
Every cent he had embezzled down had bought heavy weapons, and the basement of his house was a heavy weapons warehouse, but he really couldn’t take out a single cent.
The Second Elder was about to say something else when the Fifth Elder on the side tugged on his sleeve.
Silence fell in the master bedroom.
Trebei swept his gaze over and continued, “Eighth Elder, from now on you will be in charge of the financial side of things, and Ninth Elder, you will be in charge of the town’s reconstruction project.”
These two elders were the youngest and had never had any real power in their hands, so when they heard that Terebei had given them such an important job, both of them were overjoyed and said respectfully, “Yes, we will definitely live up to our expectations.”
The meeting lasted for two hours before it ended, and when they emerged from the master bedroom, everyone was drenched in sweat.
The Second Elder looked at the radiant Eighth and Ninth Elders and spoke coldly, “Don’t you forget that it was the Grand Elder who promoted you up in the first place, and by working for Terebei, you are betraying the Grand Elder.”
The Ninth Elder said indifferently, “Terebei is the leader of the Black Party, and it is our duty to work for the leader.”
The Eighth Elder also said, “Second Elder had better quickly raise one billion to hand over, once the chief gets angry, the consequences will be serious.”
After the two men finished speaking, they walked out of the villa with big strides.
The Second Elder was so angry that he almost lost his breath.
“Second Brother, don’t be anxious.” The Third Elder walked over and said in a low voice, “The couple I found will soon come in handy …… As long as Terebei is dead, everything will be fine ……”
